| 'Turtle' Jon Langlois, grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York. He attended
sound engineering school but was drawn to a different life and left to
tour with the Renaissance Festivals as a artisan and performer. Already an
accomplished percussionist when Odai met him, he was earning his way by
doing gaming on circuit and playing didgeridoo behind the Green Man
character that methodically walked the Faire grounds. He also retailed
hickory wooden swords and demonstrated battle techniques while still
participating in the drumming and music community. Eventually his interest in sound capture led him to yearly upgrades of equipment as he caught himself back up with his former education in audio engineering. After nearly 10 years he has established himself as being able to work on a deadline (often the length of a Festival season), and able to tend to the subtle needs of acoustic and percussion instruments as well as metering the bombast of rock'n'roll artists. Other World Music was formed as a showcase for who he had worked with and for. Track Listing
