| After moving to New England Jelly Roll Joel and Tula Storm formed The
Misteriosos and started working in a more minimalist psyche-pop beyond the
tropicalia go-go trash of their former ensemble,the Hypno-Twists. The band
managed to play their first show as finalists in The Little Steven
Underground Garage Contest in Boston. Relieved that they did not win the
contest, since the reality that the band only knew two songs at the time
would have been exposed, the band fled to Philadelphia. They released
their debut album (12 songs) to great reviews, and have been played
regulary around the East Coast, sharing the stage with notable and diverse
bands such as The Blue Van, Soledad Brothers, Soft Explosions, Le Nombre,
Diamond Nights, and SSM. The original pressing of 500 hard copies is still available bur not in abundance as it was distributed widely through the East Coast and United Kingdom. Track Listing 1.
