Painters White

ARCHIVAL ONLY
The Hobo Jeffery Odidlee Manti Scott-Odai Howitt did many 'field recordings' inspired by the Lomax Archives while traveling America in the late nineties and into the millenniums turn. Wherever he was from his seasonal stop at Agape Farms off Route 66 in Oklahoma before he dipped low into Texas before heading West during the deep winter or in the cellar of the Thornton Manor, site of the first Wang Dang Doodle in Commerce Twp. to his various residences around Phoenix he dubbed 'Rock 'n' Roll Embassies' and anywhere between the tape would be rolling.
The title refers to how as Odai traveled he always had a pair of painter's whites to change into as there was always work to be found as a painter.. artisans booths, sheds, wooden swords, ceilings.. whatever needed it and more.
The archive is a sonic notebook so sprawling and random in quality and performance that is must remain collectively that rather trying to giving it some coherent release.
